About Lean Lui

Lean Lui is an artist and photographer based in Hong Kong. Her debut photography book, 19.29, was a finalist for the prestigious Beijing Three Shadows Photography Award and was exhibited at the 2018 Hong Kong International Photography Festival. Her latest book, Aseptic Field (Setanta Books, London), has been featured by The Guardian, i-D, The Eye of Photography, and VOGUE. Another Magazine recognized it as one of the Best Photos of 2023. In 2026, Lean was selected for the La Biennale di Venezia 2026 exchange program by the Hong Kong Government's Arts Development Council for her powerful yet ambiguous work on girlhood.
